Mr Zahid Hassan

Mr Zahid Hassan graduated from Southampton University in 1996, and has extensive experience in plastic surgery having worked at 5 major centres in the UK over a period of 20 years.

At Manchester University he was awarded a higher doctorate (MD) for research involving wound healing. He undertook higher plastic surgical training in the Mersey region leading to the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship in Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) in 2012 and subsequently the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2013 with registration on the specialist register for Plastic Surgery.

During Higher Plastic Surgical Training Mr Hassan completed the North West Aesthetic Fellowship in Chester, Liverpool and Manchester region which was followed by an Advanced Training Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Leeds. Mr Hassan was appointed as Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery followed in 2014 at Whiston Hospital, Liverpool. Mr Hassan undertakes a full range of cosmetic surgical procedures and has expertise in hand surgery having obtained the British Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2015.

Mr Hassan has contributed significantly to the plastic surgery literature with over 20 publications in peer reviewed journals and multiple presentations at national and international meetings.

Mr Hassan is a keen teacher who has always been involved in training other surgeons and teaches on Plastic Surgery Skills Courses at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
